Yesterday I was in the lab for 16 hours (not including transit times, etc. Actually, physically, in the lab). Today I'm spending the night here.
I have been crying on & off for two days straight. I look horrible.
Okay, off to do more stupid horrible work.
(edit: I'm crying over my stupid program. Not FH or food or anything else. Just this godforsaken program which WON'T FUCKING WORK and therefore I have NO RESULTS for my progress meeting this week. FUCK.)
You are a science super hero.
ReplyDeleteKick that program's ass!
Can you lure a Programming Nerd in to help sort out the kinks?
ReplyDeleteThe projects that cause the most grief in process usually give the most satisfaction when you inevitably nail them. You can get through it! Hmmmm, at the Progress meeting you can always point out that you found #XXY ways that the program doesn't work for what you're trying to do with it? That's a HUGE amount of progress in discovery!
Lol, I'm not getting much in the way of free time at the moment. Maybe in a few weeks when they hire more staff? All I'm doing is working, sleeping and being screamed at by higher-ups for things that aren't even in my area of work! I just want to get a snapper out of the seafood cabinet and smack them with it. (So tempting, but such a waste of snapper!)
Lots of love from me and love and dead mice from Dralion. You will beat this Pile of Work and have your shiny postgrad-study papers before you know it.
